Facing the challenge of new economy and network science, and characterized of Sci-tech Law and Economic Law, the school strives to lead domestically and upholds interdisciplinary study. It has 40 teachers of whom 6 are professors (including 3 PH.D supervisors) and 16 are associate professors. It offers 1 Bachelor's degree program, i.e. Law, and 2 Master's degree program, i.e. Economic Law and Civil Commercial Law.

The establishment of School of Law in HUST is accompanied by the coming of the world knowledge economy era. It applies itself to found a new style school of law featured with scientific and technological law and economic law.

The School aims at training high-ranking and comprehensive legal specialists possessing systematic legal theory and profound practical capability. Scientific and technological law and economic law are paid particular attention to, except the 14 major courses pointed by the Ministry of Education.

The graduates would be engaged in judicial organizations, governmental departments, law firms, universities and colleges, research institutions and enterprises.
