Dual Degree Program: Applied Mathematics and Economics

Ⅰ. Educational Objectives:

Students at the Applied Mathematics and Economics Dual Degree Program would be trained as the specialists who master the basic theories and methods of math, grasp the fundament of the mathematical economics and the computer science, have the ability to work in the fields of produce,management,science researching and teaching after they graduate.

Ⅱ.Skills Profile

The students of this specialty should obtain the knowledge and ability as follows:
(1) Have firm basis of mathematics and be trained well in basic mathematics.
(2) Have the basic knowledge of the mathematics economics.
(3) Have the ability to build mathematical models and resolve practical problems with computer.
(4) Master a foreign language, and can read foreign papers on the subject fluently.
