The 5^th IIGSS International Workshop

China June. 14-17, 2007 Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Chinese branch of IIGSS propose to collaborate to hold in Wuhan the ‘the 5TH International Academic Symposium of International Institute for General Systems Studies’ from June, 14th to 17th , 2007. The initiator of collaboration H.Haken(Germany), the general chairman of international organization of cybernetics and system R.Vallee(France), and other world-renowned scholars, such as B.Bos (USA)and M.Jackson(UK) will give leitmotiv reports. International Institute for General Systems Studies (IIGSS) was founded in Pennsylvania, USA in January, 1994. The leading institution of IIGSS and its sub-periodical (quaterly), Advances in Systems Science and Applications (ASSA) is comprised of more than 30 international famous scholars. Since the year 1995, IGGSS has successfully held international academic conferences four times while the systematical engineering of the university ,a national key discipline, has been responsible for the programs of key national ‘863’,‘973’projects and national natural sciences foundation of China, and has held international academic conferences many times to speed up the development of the discipline. This symposium aims to discuss about the theories and application of the system science, including the current research situation and application on mathematical system, fuzz system, complex system, grey system, engineering system and uncertainty system. J.Y.Lin Forrest, a famous American scholar and Chen Mianyun, a renowned Chinese scholar will be the co-presidents of the symposium together. It is estimated that 200-250 scholars will participate, among whom 60 are from the USA, Europe, Japan, and South Korea and so on, and the rest 200 are Chinese experts and scholars.
