International Symposium on Relation between Arachidonic Acid CYPP450 & Human Cardiovascular System Protection and Tumor (Oct.15-20, 2007, Wuhan)
	With the purpose of enhancing our country’s development of the foundation of cardiovascular disease and clinical research, and keeping us in lane with international practice, Tongji Medical College of HUST proposes to hold the International Symposium on Relation between Arachidonic Acid CYPP450 & Human Cardiovascular System Protection and Tumor from 15th to 20th, October, 2007. Under the lead of Wang Wendao, professor from Tongji Hospital of Tongji Medical College, our university has accomplished remarkable achievements in cardiovascular disease mainly gene regulation of the function of vessel endodermis cells, especially in vessel endothelium-derived hyperpolarization factor (EDHF) and endothelium function regulation and endothelium protection. The results have been published in “JPET”. Moreover, important achievements have been made in Arachidonic Acid P450 Hydroxylases and hypertension, and favorable fruit has been accomplished in cardiovascular disease and tumor gene treatment. Relevant papers have been published respectively in internationally famous magazines Gene Therapy; Hypertension；Cancer Research. Our research has ranked the international leading level and closely kept in lane with international practice. This conference will focus on (1) the foundation of cardiovascular disease (hypertension and mental exertion crock up) and the latest research progress in clinic (2) research of gene CYP2J2 on tumor genesis and treatment. Famous experts Tang Zhaoshu will be invited as the chairman of the conference, and James K. Liao as the vice chairman. A total number of one hundred scholars are estimated to be present at the conference, including over ten scholars from America and other countries and regions, and ninety scholars from China.
