The 12th World Finswimming Championship has been held in Pudong Swimming Gymnasium in Shanghai from October 21 to 29. This championship is the grandest international aquatic sports meeting held by Pudong District, Shanghai this year. Nearly 400 swimmers from over 30 countries and areas took part in this championship.

On October 26, Miss Dong Yue, a student from School of Management, HUST, won the champion of 1500m finswiming with a result of 12:32:20 while her team member Huang Jingjing took the runner-up.
