HUST Staff and Students Applaud for the Anti-secession Law


 

It is reported a discussion on Anti-secession Law was held in HUST on the afternoon of March 29 with delegates of both faculties and students attending. All attendants praises that the timely coming of the Law spoke out Chinese people’s desire for country unification. Faculties and students had a heated discussion in which they analyzed the global political situation with a focus on the Taiwan separatist. Based on the sober assessment of the situation, they appraised the importance and influence of the Anti-secession Law to China’s and even the world’s development from different angles. Most of them said the influence of the Law lies at its power to restrain separatism worldwide especially in Taiwan and its promotion to the field of Law.

In allusion to international secessionists especially those who aimed at Taiwan- separation, the Anti-secession Law ascertained the unification policy in the form of law, reflecting China’s policy of running state affairs according to law. Chairman of HUST Committee ZhuYuquan delivered in his speech in the discussion. And he hoped that all students in HUST would be knowledgeable of the Anti-secession Law and well equipped to promote country unification.
