In gentle breeze and warm sunshine of this Spring, HUST held the Fifth University Open Day on April 16. More that 8000 visitors toured the campus.

HUST showed guests its amazing beauty from all around on the day. Aside from the natural beauty of the campus, visitors were magnetized by board display of outstanding students and faculty while special performance presented by HUST Art Club also caught visitors’ eyes. All departments exhibited their own teaching resources and research achievements. And as very helpful consultants, leaders and well-known experts from every department gave their warm hands to students and parents. Most importantly, special consultation on 2005 students recruitment was held in the front gate of HUST, directly and efficiently providing information for students’ entrance examination to universities.

The University Open Day plays an important role in fostering our university’s reputation and recruiting excellent students. It has become a window for the outside community to get to know HUST. It is reported HUST Open Day has attracted nearly 50, 000 people in the past 4 years. Most of them are high school students and their parents.
