The Fourth International Optoeletronic Exposition and Forum
Held at the Optics Valley of China


 

On November 2nd, the fourth optics valley of China international optoeletronic exposition and forum was inaugurated in Wuhan Science & Technology Convention and ExhibitionCenter. The secretary of Hubei province– Yu Zhengsheng declared this exposition and forum open. The secretary of Wuhan- Miao Xu addressed the exposition and forum.

The leaders of Hubei province and Wuhan, such as the minister of education- Zhou Ji, the undersecretary of information industry- Lou Qinjian, the undersecretary of science and technology- Ma Songde, the governor of Hubei-Luo Qingquan, the mayor of Wuhan- Li Xiansheng, and the leaders of Hust-Zhu Yuquan and Li Peigen, attended the opening ceremony.

Subsequently, they visited the exposition with enthrallment. The Chinese Chamber of Information Industry and the State Optoelectronic and Information Industry Base of China sponsored this exposition. About 300 companies participated in the exposition, which made The Wuhan Science & Technology Convention and ExhibitionCenter burst at the seams. Besides over 100 foreign companies and 20 world elctronic industry magnates from 500 companies, such as Sony, Panasonic, Phillip and so on. Huagong Tech Company Limited also participated.

On that day, sign 15 project contracts whose total investment was about 2 billion, and about 30 thousand persons went into this exposition. They were understood to sign 32 big project contracts and invest 8.04 billion totally during the CIOE. The exposition lasted till November 4th, and people could visit for free.

On the same day, 10 forums were inaugurated successively, including theopticsvalley of China international optoeletronic forum in 2005. About 20 academicians and 200 respected persons including experts, scholars and professionals participated.
