The number of our university’s graduates will hit 7,500 in 2006,so the graduates are in an urgent, fierce and competitive position. On Oct. 31st, the 2005 Conference on The Employment Field in our university was held to discuss and analyse employment affairs, in order to do the related work well. Leaders such as Zhu Yuquan, Li Peigen, Feng Youmei, Ouyang Kang and so on, attended the conference.

At first, the Secretary of our Party Committee—Zhu Yuquan announced“The Decision about Commending the Outstanding Units and Individuals in the 2005 Employment Work”. Then the leaders awarded prizes and certificates to the16 units (The Department of Science and Technology of Electrons, etc. ) and 20 persons (Ding Yukui, etc.)

The Deputy Secretary—Ouyang Kang gave us a splendid report named “See the Situation, Innovate upon the System, and Set the New Prospects for the Graduates’ Employment”. The report summarized the employment field in recent years, explained the situation and difficulties of the field, and gave some advice. He said that, our university ought to pay more attention to and lead the employment field; the institutes and departments need to pay great attention to the employment field, and try to study and settle the related problems based on their major’s achievement; try to make use of every aspects including educating online, make the graduates more active and independent when they’re facing employment problems; get all the units on campus together and establish a nice environment where the employment field is cared indeed and thoroughly.

The President Li Peigen pointed out in his speech, the employment field, from the point of our country, is highly related to our future and development, while from the point of our university, it also has a big influence on the reputation of the whole campus. Everyone should pay more attention to the significance of the employment field. He hoped that we should have great responsibility in the employment field.
