Jan 22, Doctor Chen Zhenguo, Vice-President of FuShiKang, the Principal of IE College, visited HUST, as an advisory professor. Principal Li Peigen received him, and representing by WangYanjue, Vice-Principal, both sides signed a cooperation memorandum.

Li Peigen introduced the basic situation of construction and scientific research. Our college respects the development of courses and pays no effort to support it, especially the construction of national labs that made us a university of international level. Meanwhile, HUST also respects social responsibility that a university should undertake. He pointed out that even through there is a long way to go, we can’t stop moving toward our goal—being a world famous university.

Chen Zhenguo made a brief introduction of himself and his goals. He indicated that he would like to accept trainees from HUST. Meanwhile, he hopes that our college can cultivate talents for them such as doctors and masters. Also he explained the changing of FuShiKang, including how began to evolve in culture industry, establishing a software center with the cooperation of IBM, and a new factory in Wuhan. The project of the new factory will be carried on in October this year; the main production will be digital production.

Both sides signed a cooperation memorandum: FuShiKang set up the scholarships for students and teachers, giving financial assistance to poor students and academic conference. Each year, the scholarship will be 500000 Yuan.1, 500,000 Yuan for 3 years total. HUST will cultivate gifted students for them, about 100 each year, mainly in the areas of IE and Machinery.
