On June 3, a French delegation of seven led by the vice-president of Essonne Council Davis Ros paid a visit to HUST, where they received a warm welcome from many school leaders including Zhu Yuquan and Liu Wei.

At the conference, Zhu Yuquan focused his remarks on the main characteristics of technology and medicine majors, and the outstanding achievements in research and production, for which the delegation showed great admiration. The president of Paris-Sud-Paris 11 University even expressed his interest in having students of the correspondeing majors pursue their PhD degrees at his university.

After the conference, the delegation visited the National Photonic Lab (under construction) of Wuhan and the University Science Park.
