Participated in by the outstanding graduates of the School of Basic Medicine and School of Human Science and Technology, CSS-Yale World scholar program had found her winner. Having passed through the selection, TangXin (School of Human Science and Technology) obtained admittance for the exchange program of Yale University. Also Li Cheng were selected as the first candidate.

Organized by Yale University and the National Foundation Management Community for Studying Abroad in November 2006, CSS-Yale World scholar program supports Chinese outstanding graduates to finish their courses of doctor degree of biological medicine in Yale. The project has a positive influence on communication between the students of China and the US for construction of biological medicine and scientific research. There are only five Chinese universities (Perking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, and Huazhong University of Science and technology) involved in this project. All the expenses would be raised by Yale and the National Foundation Management Community for Studying Abroad. Each year, the department of biological medicine at Yale recruits 80 doctoral postgraduates from all over the world, including eight Chinese students according to the agreement. 20 candidates from these five universities are interviewed by Yale. HUST was involved for the first time this year.

The leaders respected this project. They supported and cultivated during each step of the selection. Before the event, both sides organized a video conference hosted by Vice-Principal Liu Wei. He introduced the development of the School of Human Science and Technology to the professors and managers. Luo Qingming, the principal of the School of Human Life Science and Technolgy, Jue Zhijiang, Vice-Principal of Foreign Languages College, leaders of the International Communication Department and the interviewee attended.

As the project progressed, Yale realized and approved of the development of biological medicine, admired our university for nurturing high quality graduates.

As each department develops, we will have more chances to establish contact with world famous universities, and more students will get the chances of international exchange.
