On Nov.15th, the Italian Foundry Technology Seminar sponsored by the Italian Foundry Association and the Chinese Foundry Association was held in the Building No.8 at HUST. The faculty and student attendees totaled more than 200, including over 20 foreign participants. Distinguished guests on the spot were the Secretary of the Foundry Association of Hubei Province Wan Li, the Dean of the international department of the Chinese Foundry Association FanQi, the chairman of the Italian Foundry Equipment Manufacturer and Supplier Association Glante, the Secretary Karl Mannee as well as the President Assistant of HUST Zhang Qiyi and the Party Secretary of Material Department Zheng Enyan and so on.

The seminar was chaired by Wan Li. He first gave an introduction of the distinguished leaders and guests as well as expressing warm welcome to their attendance.

Representatives from the Italian Foundry Association introduced to the audience their industrial furnaces: melting, heat-preservation and automatic instillation. Technologies such as oxygen combustion were also explained in detail. Among them industrial furnaces which boast low noises, little emissions, efficient energy and flexible operation received warm praise from the audience.
