On Nov. 28th, the establishing ceremony of the newly-merged Wuhan Huagong Unity Laser Tech Co. Ltd(Huagong Unity for short), a combination of Huagong Tech and Unity Laser, was held at Ramada, optical valley.

Participants in the ceremony are Yuan Shanla, member of Wuhan Municipal Committee as well as the deputy mayor of Wuhan City, Liu Chuantie, director of Collegiums of East Lake Development Zone, Yang Yong, vice president of HUST, Zhang Xinfang, president of board of directors of HUST Hgh-tech Group, Ma Xinqiang, president of Huagong Tech and Chen Haibing, president of Unity Laser, etc.

Aiming at accelerating the development of laser industry, Integrating resources so as to meet the opportunities and challenges in the industry both at home and abroad, Huagong Tech announced that the company would utilize its own capitals to carry out a strategic regrouping with unity laser and form Wuhan Huagong Unity Laser Tech Co. Ltd by co-funding in hope of building it into an international laser cutting manufacturer of top-grade.

After the regrouping, Huagong Tech holds 51% of Unity Laser 's share, in charge of most of the shares. Consequently, Huagong Tech owns two international laser cutting machine brands of top-grade, an international plasma cutting machine brand of top-grade and an international LASER brand. It has broken up the global monopoly by realizing self-manufacture based on high-power c02 LASER. In addition, it has become a national leading manufacturer of high-power laser cutting equipment with an absolute lead in domestic market shares.

Laser has been widely applied in industrial manufacture, communication, information processing, public health, military affairs, culture, education and so on all over the world. In recent years, laser has played a more and more important role in traditional industries, especially in reconstruction of equipment manufacture. As the country attaches more importance to equipment manufacture, laser cutting machine industry is undoubtedly provided with vast market opportunities in the future. It is estimated that in the next 5 years, the demand in China's laser market will exceed 60 billion RMB.
