Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics (WNLO), backing Huazhong University of Science and Technology with the participation of Wuhan Physics and Mathematics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) and the No.717 Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(CSIC), is one of the national laboratory experimental units initiated by the National Science and Technology Ministry. WNLO covers all the advanced research areas in optoelectronics, and is an important part of the national science and technology innovation system. 1. Qualifications

1) Experienced in optoelectronic materials, nano-photonics, micro-systems, basic photonics, optical communication, optical storage, laser science and technology, bio-medical photonics, and other optoelectronics related fields.

2) With an earned Ph. D. degree. Domestic “Chang Jiang scholars”, young scientists in the “Hundreds-Talent Program” of CAS, oversea assistant professors and above or the equivalents preferred.

3) For research division directors or group leader applicants, bringing their own high quality teams encouraged.

4) Achieved in the relevant research fields, with novel ideas and visions in their own fields, and available fulltime for the positions.

5) Healthy, honest, hard-working, responsible, team-working, initiative and self-motivated.

2. Benefits

1) For Academicians of Academia of Sciences or Engineering

According to various subject statuses, provide corresponding research start-up funds; assure working spaces; offer full-time secretary and part-time health-care doctor. Besides the position salary, the university provides 120000 Yuan academician allowance and free academician housing (> 260 m2), plus 100000 Yuan one-time settling compensation and jobs for spouse and one child.

2) For “Chang Jiang Scholarship” Invited Professors

According to various subject statuses, provide corresponding research start-up funds; assure working spaces; offer full-time secretary. Besides the “Chang Jiang scholarship” invited professor allowance stipulated by the Education Ministry, pay professorship salary; during the tenure, provide a free 3-bedroom or 4-bedroom apartment. For one who becomes the regular employee, if an apartment is purchased, the university will provide subsidy in cash according to the university’s policy, plus 120000 Yuan apartment purchasing payment (1000 Yuan per month for 10 years) and 50000 Yuan settling compensation. Arrange spouse’s job.

3) For Subject Leaders

According to various subject statuses, provide corresponding research start-up funds; assure working spaces; offer full-time secretary; enjoy professorship salary. For one who meets the requirements of Huazhong University of Science and Technology invited professors, the university provides invited professor allowance, 50000 Yuan settling compensation, a free 3- or 4-bedroom apartment for three years. If an apartment is purchased, 120000 Yuan apartment purchasing payment will be provided (1000 Yuan per month for 10 years) other than the subsidy in cash according to the university’s housing reform policy. Arrange spouse’s job.

4) For Scientific Leaders

According to various subject statuses, provide corresponding research start-up funds and necessary working conditions; in terms of the invited position, offer corresponding position salary; provide a free 3-bedroom apartment for three years and 30000 Yuan settling compensation. If an apartment is purchased, add 90000 Yuan apartment purchasing payment (750 Yuan per month for 10 years), besides the housing reform subsidy. Arrange spouse’s job on circumstances.

3. Other notices

1) For the one who is in the “Hundreds-Talent Program” of CAS, please take the above benefits as references.
2) For the one who is not able to work full time in WNLO, the Lab will provide a 3-bedroom temporary housing, and according to the scientific achievement, offer monthly salary and working conditions.
3) Applicants should provide written application and relevant documents, including personal identification, register photo, curriculum vita (resume), recent research achievements, research interests and plans etc. An interview will be scheduled for the favorites.
