The
Key Respiratory Disease Laboratory of the Ministry of Health
Founded in 1992, the key Respiratory Disease Laboratory of the Ministry of Health mainly studies the pathogeny, early diagnosis, prevention and therapeutic methods of common disease in respiratory system such as the chronic obstructive pneumonia, asthma, lung cancer and cor pulmonale. The laboratory offers master programs, doctoral programs and post-doctoral research center. At present, there are 18 Ph.D candidates and 22 master candidates studying in the laboratory and 1 doctor is doing research in the post-doctoral research center. Since its foundation, the laboratory has undertaken 44 projects, among which 1 project is for the World Health Organization, 6 are National Key Technological Projects and 1 major project for the National Natural Science Foundation. 10 projects have awarded prizes. 1 of them is the National Prize for Technology Progress and 6 are the ministerial and provincial prizes for technology progress.
